Religion Hack… Why?

My caretaker while cleaning the house inquisitively touched the Lord Buddha diffuser and asked me, “Didi who is he”? I smiled and introduced her to this great personality of time. Immediately comes her next question, “What is he doing in a Hindu’s house”? It’s a sin!

Here I was, standing awestruck and feeling pity for her conditioned mind, beliefs and notions where a Lord Buddha diffuser in Hindu home is considered as a sin. While I gave her a perspective, her conservative and illusioned approach kept disturbing me and I decided to reach out to you all.

Our society in 21st century still submits in the hands of superstition and orthodox beliefs. And things are still telescoped into just one inflammatory binary, “Religion”. We as a society still pamper our egos as Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Jain etc. and create biggest of outbursts, fights and massacre killing humans and humanity, else indulge in a hate speech regarding a thought process or belief and accuse others for being sinner or virtuous. Put your hand on your heart and answer yourself, is this what our religion teaches us? Well, every religious language talk about love, equality, compassion, non- violence, honesty as keywords. But how we have scribbled this language today is mostly around fear or social propaganda. Fear in the name of God, rituals, people and so many other aspects. Its important to rewrite this language again. For if lucky ones like us, who have all the pillars of life in place i.e. education, exposure, knowledge which builds the foundation to right perspectives in life are not going to take responsibility of our mindset and approach then our society and community will keep suffering and will never understand the true meaning of Religion

Remember, your perspective creates your beliefs, your belief system creates you, you create society and society further creates nation. Its important that we change the ordeal for our coming generation and simultaneously spread the true language of Religion. We will keep meeting people like my caretaker all our lives, with confused looks and raised eyebrows, they will inflate your egos and make you stand in a box. Well, don’t let them manipulate you in the name of Religion. Take responsibility of your perspective and belief and build a better future for generation next. Be dutiful and committed to practice your own religion, but respect others too!
